Course description:

Effective courtroom testimony is a skill which requires practice, knowledge and patience.  If you are an investigator, or a claims adjuster, you will get subpoenaed to testify in court at some point in your career. Knowing how to prepare and what mistakes to avoid during testimony will ensure your success and greatly reduce your anxiety. 
 
Tasha Soroosh has been a Deputy District Attorney for over 17 years.  Her first 14 years were with San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office where she prosecuted numerous crimes, including juvenile, sexual assault, auto theft, attempted homicides and homicides. She then joined Orange County District Attorney where for the last 2 years she has been assigned to the insurance fraud unit, primarily handling premium fraud.  Prior to becoming a Deputy District Attorney, she worked in immigration law and medical malpractice defense. Ms. Soroosh has successfully tried over 40 cases.  She has also conducted hundreds of evidentiary hearings in court where she has examined witnesses both on direct and cross. She has been invited to teach classes to law enforcement on numerous occasions on how to testify in court and survive cross-examination.
