Insurance Fraud Hall of Shame — 2020

Posted by Kendra Smith

Say hello to the Insurance Fraud Hall of Shame, home of the 10 most-brazen insurance scammers of 2020.

Insurance fraud is an $80-billion annual crime wave, rising up like swamp gas. These Commanders in Thief remind us that insurance fraud is yet another damaging pandemic.

Insurance scams drive up everyone’s premiums. Scams can drain our life savings. … We endure bogus surgeries. … Some people die.

The Coalition Against Insurance Fraud has elected the nation’s most-brazen insurance criminals for nearly 20 years. The Shamers put a  human face on insurance fraud, and its high costs to all Americans. The Shamers encourage more honesty in all insurance dealings. Would-be insurance criminals also will think twice about the joys of a life-long criminal record and hard time in a cold jail cell.

Stay alert, empower yourself, and avoid being scammed. The Shamers remind us: Let’s encourage honesty with all insurance dealings.
