Committees & Task Forces

Coalition committees and task forces include a diverse mix of insurers, government leaders, public interest groups, associations, associates, and law firms. Coalition members may join one or more of these groups to drive a positive impact in the fight against insurance fraud. Executive Committee

Governs the Coalition’s overall direction, strategy, and operations. The Board of Directors elects the officers and members of this chief governing body.

Amicus Review Committee

Identifies significant legal cases and submits amicus briefs in state and federal courts, providing arguments that help shape key rulings and establish broader precedents for the anti-fraud community.

Financial Review Committee

Provides financial analysis and oversight of the Coalition’s budget. Ensures resources needed to provide programs and services to the community.

Government Affairs Committee

Leads grassroots campaigns and supports updates to Coalition model legislative frameworks that states nationwide can use to combat fraud.You launch grassroots campaigns and help update Coalition model acts that states nationwide use to fight fraud.

Legal Affairs Committee

Tracks court decisions impacting insurance fraud and maintains the Coalition’s legal resources. Also identifies cases for potential amicus curiae participation to support member interests. Membership is by invitation only.

Public Information Committee

Leads national outreach that empowers consumers to prevent and report fraud, promotes integrity across all insurance practices, and raises awareness of fraud’s widespread impact.

Research Committee

Conducts data-driven research to help members better understand and address emerging fraud challenges. Produces insights that inform decision-makers, highlight evolving trends, and support policy development at the national level.

Associate Member Task Force

Engages vendor partners, leveraging their deep expertise to support the Coalition’s mission. Ensures associate members remain informed, connected, and actively involved in advancing the Coalition’s strategy.

Fraud Risk Management Task Force

Collaborates with members to share best practices in enterprise fraud risk management, taking a holistic approach to fraud across the organization. Focuses on risk assessment, governance, and program oversight to strengthen protection and resilience.

Life & Disability Task Force

Explores evolving fraud schemes and exposures within life and disability insurance.  Collaborates to identify, understand, and create strategies to effectively combat fraud.

Medical Fraud Task Force

Addresses medical benefits and billing fraud. Creates strategies to increase awareness of current and emerging fraud trends.

Property & Casualty Task Force

Focuses on emerging fraud schemes in the property and casualty sector, strengthening public-private partnerships to enhance fraud detection and prevention efforts.

State and Industry Fraud Task Force

Brings together state insurance regulators and insurance company fraud directors to discuss key issues. This invitation-only group strengthens relationships and promotes collaboration between the public and private sectors.

Workers Compensation Task Force

Provides a forum for industry SIU Directors to discuss key issues related to their roles and responsibilities.

LTC Fraud Subcommittee

Identifies emerging fraud trends in long-term care, helping to raise awareness within the industry, the public, and governmental agencies. Develops strategies to effectively combat insurance fraud, protect consumers, and preserve the integrity of the long-term care system.

Membership Subcommittee

State Fraud Directors Subcommittee
