Heighten awareness of fraud schemes and red flags for insurance professionals in the property industry and emphasize their role in combating insurance fraud. Answering questions such as why property insurance fraud is a problem, the course is designed to increase participation in the recognition and referral process. Students will review the function, purpose, and procedures of the SIU, identification and recognition of red flags, and mandatory reporting requirements. This course also details the process once a suspicious insurance incident is recognized and provides instructions on contacting the SIU to initiate the referral process.
