The Coalition’s Social Media Competition 2025Β
The Coalition’s Social Media Competition is live but we need your help. Our campaign, designed to raise fraud awareness among young adults, relies on member engagement to reach its full impact. This year, Wayne State University students have created innovative posts that speak directly to 18 to 25 year olds, showing how insurance fraud affects them and how they can help prevent it. But to make sure these messages are seen by as many people as possible, we need you to take action now. We strongly encourage all members to follow, like, and share the posts on the Coalition’s Facebook and Instagram pages. Every share, comment, and like helps amplify these messages, strengthens our collective impact, and ensures the next generation hears the call to action. Act today, your engagement can make all the difference. #StopInsuranceFraud #InsuranceFraudAwarenessΒ
Long Term Care Fraud 2025Β
The Coalition Against Insurance Fraud is working on a new initiative focused on preventing Long-Term Care (LTC) fraud. The upcoming resources, which will be available on the Coalition’s website, are designed to help insurers, Departments of Insurance, and consumer groups raise awareness and educate families about how to recognize and report suspected fraud. The materials will include social media graphics, infographics, and a downloadable brochure that outline what to watch for and which agencies to contact if long-term care fraud is suspected. This initiative continues the Coalition’s commitment to equipping its members with effective tools to protect consumers and strengthen the fight against insurance fraud.

3 of 4 insurance companies are convinced that insurance fraud is growing

Nearly three out of four insurance companies report that fraud is increasing or remaining steady, underscoring a growing concern within the industry. In response, the Coalition Against Insurance Fraudβ€”a national alliance of over 300 organizations, including insurers, consumer groups, and government agenciesβ€”is intensifying its efforts to combat this pervasive issue. Through collaboration, research, and public education, the Coalition aims to protect consumers and reduce the financial impact of fraudulent activities.

4 of 5 consumers are concerned

A significant majority of consumers express concern about insurance fraud and its detrimental effects on both the economy and individuals. This widespread apprehension underscores public awareness of the financial burden that fraudulent activities impose, including increased premiums and eroded trust in the insurance system. In response, the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud is actively collaborating with its diverse stakeholders to foster a more secure and trustworthy environment for all. By uniting these groups, the Coalition aims to effectively combat the ever-evolving landscape of insurance fraud.
